Sources and coverage
Planned source families
The list below describes the architecture, not a claim that every provider is connected. The current pilot uses manually captured Google Trends comparisons and reviewed Wikimedia pageviews. Paid providers are not enabled, USPTO is deferred, and general NIST news has been excluded as irrelevant.
- DataForSEO Google Trends: relative search interest and candidate discovery.
- Google Ads: monthly keyword volumes, advertising competition, and CPC context.
- Keepa: retail rank, prices, offers, and product breadth. Rank is a proxy, not units sold.
- USPTO: trademark applicants and filings, not confirmed product launches.
- Wikipedia: corroborating pageview attention.
- Approved news: short context and source links.
Rights before use
Production sources require reviewed commercial, retention, attribution, and derived-display permissions. Unknown rights are not permission. Raw search captures remain private. Public scores require separate evidence and source-permission checks.
Unavailable and deferred
Trade, affiliate distribution, ImportYeti, patents, and academic research are deferred. eBay and Etsy remain manual validation only. No seller dashboard scraping is permitted.
Independent evidence
Google Ads and Trends belong to the same search family. Wikipedia and news cannot be counted as multiple independent families simply because two providers are present.
